• Beautiful Babies photo contest to start over: Response from parents, relatives and friends who want to vote for their favorite among the 32 finalists in our Beautiful Babies photo contest has been overwhelming. So many people have voted that our contest computer has been overloaded at the same time other technical issues occurred since Friday morning, when the final round of voting began. Many of you contacted us after not being able to vote on our Web sites, or your votes were not recorded because of these computer problems. Others have not been able to vote in areas where electrical power remains out because of the Sept. 14 wind storm. We believe the best way to fix this for everyone who wants to vote is to start the contest over. Voting has been suspended. We will restart voting beginning at midnight Friday, Sept. 26 and continue it through Sunday night, Oct. 5. The voting will be turned off at midnight on Monday, Oct. 6. Because of the difficulties many of you have not been able to vote, or your votes were not recorded, we will not count votes cast since Friday. When the contest resumes this Friday, all of the finalists will start over with no votes. Voters will choose the 12 winners who will be professionally photographed and appear in our 2009 Beautiful Babies calendar. We apologize for the computer problems that have occurred and are fixing them. We invite you to come back when voting begins again on Friday morning.
